SoCo at Tower Point

They rent them to you as if they were luxury apartments but they do not maintain luxury apartments or they definitely do not know what the word luxury defines. All its areas are always dirty, especially the pool where many children go. The pool is extremely poorly maintained, the water is always green and the bottom of the pool is always dirty. the bbq only works one, in short they should not say that they are luxury apartments because they definitely are not. One of the worst run apartments I have ever lived at. They failed to deal with issues and had at least 4 different property managers in the year I lived there. I rarely give 1 star reviews but this place would get a negative if I could. Don't be fooled by the "luxury living"... If you're on the first floor expect regular flooding (pictures attached) and hallways are never cleaned. Everything about these apartments was done cheap (wire racks for cabinets, lenoleum floors, cheapest appliances you can get). For the price they charge in rent there are much nicer places in town. I moved out 75 days ago and they still haven't sent my deposit back. The office even acknowledged I'm owed it but "it's still being processed". Texas state law mandates it be returned within 30 days. This property clearly doesn't properly train it's staff on basic tenant laws *Update*: Finally received payment 91 days after moving out! It took sending a certified demand letter and I still didn’t get any acknowledgement or offer to settle so this review is staying up and also going on every other platform I have. I’ll also be filling a complaint with the Texas Attorney General and BBB. Google alerted me that my review has been seen over 1600 times in the last month so hopefully it saves someone the massive mistake and nightmare I had with this place!

One of the worst managed properties I've ever lived. Instea6of fixing her gas grills they decided to use charcoal in the grill. When our key fob battery died they put a key deadbolt on our door. The explanation was it would cost 300 dollars to fic and they were negotiating price When a work order was placed it was 3 months to fix was yold a new company was being used. Opportunities to improve the cleanliness, maintenance, and general appearance of the facility definitely exist. Security gates rarely function. Lots of dead landscaping trees and shrubs around the complex. Interior of apartment appearance degraded, bedroom carpet overdue for replacement, tub cracked with a poor in-house repair, can't seem to get a badly damaged window screen repaired / replaced all identified from before move-in. Staff seems willing, follow through is not consistent, especially for the rates charged. Just not meeting expectations.
